Where is your business on the four-phase approach to Reopening Mass?



On May 18, Governor Baker announced his plan to re-open Massachusetts in a four phase approach. With everyone excited to re-open their business Governor Baker stated each phase will last a MINIMUM of three weeks before moving to the next phase. If the public health trends are negative, we may need to return to an earlier phase to prevent overburden our health care professionals. This is to ensure the health and safety of the Commonwealth.


Phase 1: Start May 18, 2020 · Essential Business · Construction · Manufacturing May 25, 2020 · Laboratory and life science facilities · Office space (not including Boston) · Strongly encouraged to continue working from home if possible. Business would need to restrict workforce presence to <25% maximum occupancy · Limited Personal Services · Hair · Pet Grooming · Car Washes (exterior only) · Retail · Remote fulfillment · Curbside pick-up **Each industry has to adhere to specific guidelines** June 1, 2020 · Office Space: Boston Phase 2: Cautious · Retail · Resturaunts · Lodging · Additional Personal Services · Nail Salons · Day Spas **Restrictions and capacity limitations apply** Phase 3: Vigilant · Bars · Arts & Entertainment · Casinos · Fitness & Gyms · Museums · All other business except · Night Clubs · Large Venues **Restrictions and capacity limitations apply** Phase 4: New Normal · Resume all activities
