Social Distancing:
All persons (including employees, customers, etc.) should remain at LEAST 6 feet apart to the greatest extent possible, both inside and outside workplaces
Establish Procedures to guarantee employees can practice adequate social distancing
Provide signage for safe social distancing
Require face coverings or masks for all employees
Hygiene Protocol:
Provide hand washing capabilities throughout the workplace
Ensure frequent hand washing and adequate supplies
Frequently sanitize high touch areas, including but not limited to workstations, equipment, screens, doorknobs, restrooms throughout work site
Staffing and Operations
Train employees on social distancing and hygiene procedure
If an employee displays COVID-19-like symptoms do not report to work
Determine a plan for employees getting ill from COVID-19 at work, and a return-to-work plan
Cleaning and Disinfecting
Establish and maintain cleaning procedures specific to the business
If an employee is diagnosed with COVID-19, clean and disinfect the work environment
Frequently disinfect all common surfaces at intervals appropriate to said workplace
With the new mandatory safety standards, business must develop a strategy for how they will comply with the new regulations. Businesses do not have to submit the Covid-19 Control Plan for approval, but the plan does need to be readily available on the premise in case of an inspection or outbreak.
