According to studies, job seekers will jump ship before they’ve finished their application if the process is unnecessarily long or complex. The longer the process, the fewer applicants you get.
Look for ways to simplify your application process and hiring practices generally. If something is redundant (e.g., asking the applicant to upload a resume after entering its relevant information into the application) or unnecessary (e.g., requesting cover letters), eliminate it if you can.
