Strategic Planning can be vital to the health of a company. Regardless of a company’s size, it is important that all employees are on the same page and working towards the same goals. Strategic planning helps ensure that all energy and resources are being directed towards clear goals. While the goals will differ from company to company, the planning processes that establish them should all be fairly similar. To start, the company should first analyze itself, its markets, and its customers. Then, it should decide on its larger goals and the smaller steps that it will take to achieve them. Once the overall plan is established, the company should continuously check its progress and make notes to use for future planning. When done correctly, strategic planning can outline the path to success.
